Situated in the hearth of Torino, in corso Re Umberto 59, from which the project gets the name, this 5-storey residential building has been designed and built between 1903 and 1908, just few years after the International EXPO that consolidated the value of the Italian Art Nouveau. Several Liberty decorative elements can be found examining this fascinating and “eclectic” building. MBGP was in charge of bringing back to life the beauty and the power of the original appearance of the building that lost with time its vigourous appeal. An attentive and meticulous work, in collaboration with several specialized technicians and painters, allowed to rediscovered all of the details, from the external stone to the columns and “capitelli”, from the fresco paintings to the internal hall with ceiling vaults, in a such appreciated and recognized way that the building was defined from “seriosamente triste” (“seriously sad”) to “gioiosamente serioso” (“joyfully serious”). The building has been portratit in numerous sector magazines and publications.
